I have been carrying the G2 daily for a about a year. It is inexpensive and has good light output.
Improvising targets

Within the comments are suggestions for using ice as a reactive target which is a clever idea. If you are able to consistently get hits at the distance and within the time, another trick is to simply cut whatever area you wish to hit out of the target. This way you are only tracking the misses. This is great for working on speed.
