Helmke is off on his tangent about painted guns over at the HUFFPO

The only reason Helmke is making a issue about this is to get his name in the papers. This is a non-threat. A can of krylon or some latex house paint would accomplish the same thing. How is a criminal with a pink pistol more of threat than a criminal with a black one? Do you think the police are going to do something different? If he looks like an immediate threat they are going to shoot him, if they have time for verbal commands then they will apply them first.
