To those who don't want to carry firearms I say fine, don't. But be mature enough to understand those who do are as fine a people as you are. They love their families, and love their individual freedom. They won't shoot you if you take their parking spot or grab the last can of wasabi almonds off the store shelf...
Rustmeister gives me the credit of a lot of restraint, and despite my love for wasabi almonds it is truely unlikely that I would shoot someone over them.

A lot of self-examination went into that statement. =)
But I have never actually been in the situation where I would have to fight tooth and claw for my snack-food. I can't really say to what lengths I would go, but I am hoping I could keep my baser instincts in check and find a substitute snack.
