Rising ammo costs pinch gun owners

I suggest starting to 'bulk buy' with groups of friends before reloading. Reloading is only cheaper if you count your labor as being 'free' or you shoot some exotic cartridge. Geting a .22LR conversion kit makes a lot of sense.

Which sellers would be good places to go for group buys? For 9mm target ammo, for instance, Wal-Mart's off-the-shelf price seems to be every online price, even online bulk prices. Don't know about rifle calibers or larger handgun calibers.

.22 makes a lot of sense right now.

What I mean by bulk is multiple 1000 round cases. In my group we have one guy with an FFL who can usually get a little under retail (especially when you are buying 12 cases). When he has found a deal he lets all know. You have to be prepared to buy at least a case though.
