What to do if the police stop you

This is similar to my previous link on this topic. This is driven by the ACLU guidelines. I think that the ACLU is probably the right organization to get advice from.

Although I do think they can be a useful resource, I find the ACLU distasteful, primarily for their position on the 2nd Amendment and their support of affirmative action programs.

The thing they really have going for them is that they are well established.

They cherry pick what they consider to be a 'right' (even those that don't exist) and ignore the rest. That is what happens when you let somebody else run the show. They march to the orders of those who fund them.

The hard-line 2A activists shun them because of their anti-gun stance, so the ACLU has no reason to listen to them. It is a chicken and egg situation.

Pretty much all of the no-compromise hard liners are doomed to failure. Brady can't get a complete ban of guns so they nibble at the fringes. The NRA can't get the media and the government to understand "shall not be infringed" so they nibble at the restrictions.

I just don't see another organization that has the ACLU's track record of success against government intrusions AND has a pro-gun position.
