I have been carrying the older version of the the G2 as a my all-around utility flashlight for a few years. They are inexpensive enough to dedicate to your backpack, car, or jacket pocket.
While the G2 doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive lights from Surefire it is a solid performer and great light for the field.
